Open Farm

Open farm is back!

Join us for farm-fresh produce and play! Harvest your own herbs and veggies. Let the keiki run wild and play in the dirt. Click here to book your tickets.

When are you open?

We're typically open Friday mornings from 9AM to 11AM. Sorry if those times do not work for you and your family! We're a working farm, busy raising kids of our own and can only offer limited open hours at this time. We hate having to turn away latecomers so please come early!

We enjoy holidays with our family just as much you do, so we're typically closed on holidays unless we say otherwise.

Do you have a bathroom?

Yup! It's one of those stinky blue porta potty's but it beats pooping your pants.

How much does this cost?

The entry fee is $10 for adults, $8 for keiki, and keiki 2 and under are free. U-pick baskets are available in various sizes ($10/$20/$40) and eggs are $10/dozen (based on availability).

Where do I park?

We have a small parking area on site that can accomodate a few dozen cars. Do not park on the street if parking is full or you will be ticketed. If you don't mind a short walk you can park in the neighborhood on Kekupua St (about a 10 minute walk to the farm).

What's available?

We're constantly rotating our produce throughout the year. Follow our Instagram account to see what's in season and ready to be harvested. We also have organic, free-range chicken eggs. They sell out fast though so if you want eggs come early!

What should I wear / bring?

We recommend closed-toed shoes and long pants. The chickens can get pecky and the mosquitos like to hang out at the farm in the spring. Bring water / snacks for the keiki. And please bring your own bag to take home your produce in. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

Should I wash my produce before eating it?

Absolutely! The produce you harvest from the farm is raw and has not been washed yet. Although we do not use any harmful chemicals on our farm, you should still thoroughly wash all produce and eggs before consuming.

Field trips

As a working farm tailored to youth, we offer a fun and unique experience that reinforces the concepts you are teaching in the classroom. Field trips start at $250 for up to 25 students. Schools in need of financial assistance are encouraged to apply for a Kokua Hawaii Foundation Field Trip Grant. Please contact Heather for more info!

Special events

We love hosting special events to further inspire and strengthen our community! Please visit our events page to see what's on tap and purchase tickets for upcoming events.

Volunteer

We'll take all the help we can get! There are always seeds to sow, weeds to pull, mulch to spread, and rocks to relocate. Community volunteer days are open to the public ages 16+ each Tuesday from 8:30am - 12pm (sign up here). Are you interested in volunteering with your work pals or organizing a group volunteer day? We love being able to tackle big projects with larger groups! Please contact us at aloha@keikiandplow.org for inquiries.
